Solemnly commencing the 7th meeting of the Provincial People’s Council, Tenure VII

Inthe morning of July 17th, the 7th meeting of the ProvincialPeople’s Council, Tenure VII of the year 2016-2021 was solemnly commenced atthe hall of the Provincial Parliamentary Delegates at the national congress andProvincial People’s Council. The meeting was co-chaired by comrade Huynh TanViet, Commissioner of the central Party Committee, Secretary of the provincialParty Committee cum Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council and theexecutive members of the Provincial People’s Council.

Addressing to commence themeeting, comrade Huynh Tan Viet clearly stated, the 7th meeting ofthe provincial People’s council was held in the context of positive shifts ofthe provincial economy as well as numerous challenges and difficulties.However, with the drastic and efficient organization of the PPC; the directionsof the government, the Provincial Party committee, the executive board of theprovincial Party committee, the provincial people’s council; the efforts of thesectors and levels; the consensus and support of economic sectors, theenterprise community and the people in the province, thanks to this, thesituation of society and economy, national defense-security of the provincecontinue to be stable and developed. “At the meeting this time, the provincialpeople’s council concentrates on considering the reports and assessing theresults of implementing the tasks for the first 6 months of the year 2018;considering, deciding on some significant issues and approving 14 resolutionson continuing the socio-eco tasks, national defense-security in the year 2018and some other significant contents”, comrade Huynh Tan Viet emphasized andproposed the delegates to highly raise the responsibility spirit, developingthe intellectuality, concentrating on doing research, discussing in thedemocratic way for the sake of the fruitful meeting to meet the people’sexpectations.

The meeting was continued byMr. Nguyen Chi Hien, standing PPC deputy chairman, on behalf of the PPC, gavethe brief report on the situation of implementing the tasks in economy-society,national defense-security in the first 6 months of the year and tasks, plansfor the final 6 months of the year 2018. The report clearly stated that despitelots of difficulties in the first 6 months, thanks to the concentration ontimely and drastic implementation for the solution groups to direct, monitorunder Decision 01 of the government, the province’s socio-eco and national defense-securitysituation is stable with some developments. Among these, it is timelyimplemented when it comes to conduct the policies for the objects understipulations; the sectors of education-training, medicine, culture, sports haveshown progress; the discipline, administrative order has been graduallyimproved; PCI and PAPI of the province continue to be improved; the securityand politics have been preserved, national defense has been consolidated andenhanced; traffic accidents have been intensively reduced in 3criteria…Outstandingly, GRDP growth rate is 6.28% of the 8.2% of plan; thetotal export turnover is 72.6 million USD (reaching 50% of the plan; anincrease of 5.76% against the same period); state budget collection in thelocality is 2,100 billion dongs (reaching 52.5% of the plan, an increase of 62%against the same period); the total capital for investing in social developmentis 6.596 billion dongs (reaching 41,7% of the plan, an increase of 18% againstthe same period); the proportion of reaching the criterion of new rural areasis 47% (an increase of 2%, i.e an increase of 1 commune against the end of theyear 2017; in the year 2018, there has not been judgment on the communesreaching the standards; plan 53%); army force assignment meeting 100%..
