Party Central Committee elects two additional members to Secretariat

The12th-tenure Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam(CPV) elected two additional members to the Central Committee Secretariat on May9, the third day of its 7th plenary meeting.

In the morning of May 9, theParty Central Committee (PCC) discussed personnel work under the chair of PartyGeneral Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong. 

The PCC agreed, throughvoting, to let Tran Quoc Vuong, Politburo member, permanent member of the PCCSecretariat and Chairman of the PCC Inspection Commission, 12th tenure,to leave the posts of member and chairman of the PCC InspectionCommission. 

The PCC elected Tran Cam Tu,PCC member and Standing Vice Chairman of the PCC Inspection Commission, 12thtenure, as Chairman of the PCC Inspection Commission, 12th tenure.

Hoang Van Tra, ViceSecretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincialPeople’s Committee and head of the National Assembly deputies, 14th tenure,of Phu Yen province, was elected to the PCC Inspection Commission, 12thtenure.

The two additional membersof the 12th PCC Secretariat elected at the session today were TranThanh Man, PCC member and President of the Vietnam Fatherland Front CentralCommittee; and Tran Cam Tu, PCC member and Chairman of the PCC InspectionCommission, 12th tenure.

The PCC considered andreached a decision on the disciplinary measure in the form of expelling fromthe Party against Dinh La Thang, PCC member and deputy head of the PCCEconomics Commission. 

In the afternoon, the PCCdiscussed the project on reforming salary policy for cadres, public servants,armed forces and employees in enterprises, under the chair of Nguyen Thi KimNgan, Politburo member and Chairwoman of the National Assembly.

The 7th plenarysession of the 12th-tenure PCC is taking place in Hanoi from May7-12. 

Main issues on the agenda ofthe six-day sitting include the personnel work at all levels, especially atstrategic level, salary reform for officials, public servants, the armedforces, and workers, and social insurance policy reform, among others.
