PM arrives in Tokyo for 10th Mekong-Japan Summit Meeting

PrimeMinister Nguyen Xuan Phuc, his spouse and entourage arrived in Tokyo on lateafternoon of October 7 to attend the 10th Mekong-Japan Summit Meeting and visitJapan.

The delegation was welcomedby Japanese Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs NorikazuSuzuki, Japanese Ambassador to Vietnam Umeda, Vietnamese Ambassador to JapanNguyen Quoc Cuong, staff of the Vietnamese Embassy, and representatives fromthe Vietnamese community in the East Asian country.

Japanese Prime Minister ShinzoAbe will host a grand welcome ceremony for the Vietnamese Government leader onOctober 8. They will then hold talks and witness the signing of importantcooperation agreements.

PM Phuc will receiveChairman of the Japan-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Alliance NikaiToshihiro, and visit the Vietnamese Embassy in Tokyo.

He will attend the 10thMekong-Japan Summit Meeting and the Mekong-Japan investment forum, as well asmeet the Japanese Emperor and leaders of the National Diet.

During his stay, the PM willhave several meetings with Japanese investors, work with the Japan BusinessFederation (Keidanren), hold talks with Japanese property companies, and attenda Vietnam investment promotion forum with 1,000 business representativesexpected to be present.
