The movement developing extensively

Recently, the implementation of the Directive No. 01 dated January 9th, 2015 of the Prime Minister on “organizing the movement of the entire population participating in protecting the territorial sovereignty and national border security in the new situation” (Directive 01/TTg) in the province has gained certain important achievements.

Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Minh, political commissar of the provincial Border Guard Command, lets known: in addition to advising the PPC to make plan of implementing the Directive 01/TTg and launching the movement of the entire population protecting the sea sovereignty and the security and order of villages and neighborhoods in the coastal area of ​​the province, the Party Committee and the Border Guard Command have focused on leading and directing border posts and stations to strengthen staff to seize the area, actively advise the Party levels, local authorities to build political grassroots, improving the effectiveness of Party organizations’ activities, propagating, mobilizing and raising people's awareness of island sovereignty.

Currently, in 27 communes, wards and towns in the coastal area of ​​the province, the border posts have cooperated with local authorities to maintain 372 order and security self-managed groups out of 33.059 households and 24 parking self-managed groups out of 2,715 means and 10,708 participants. Especially, in addition to 113 safe boat groups established and maintained effectively with 1,026 fishing vessels and thousands of fishermen, there are 257 families and 5,779 households registering to participate in protecting the sea sovereignty and the security and order of villages, neighborhoods in the coastal areas of the province. In particular, Tuy Hoa city has 67 collectives and 678 individuals participate in this movement, certified by the local authorities.

According to Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Minh, implementing this movement, the people have performed their role in well managing and protecting the sea sovereignty and security well; the position in people’s heart is built widely. This is the foundation for the cause of protecting the sea sovereignty and security of the province. In 2016, with information of people, the Border Guard force went on patrols, struggling to expel 2 Chinese people staying illegal; taking administrative sanctions against 3 people with the amount of 35,82 million. Especially, on December 4th 2016, the Provincial Border Guard force coordinated with the Marine corps 48 and the Central Special mission unit (Drugs and Crime prevention department of Border Guard Command) detained the SWIFT vessel (Dominican nationality) transferring nearly 5,6 million liters of A92 gasoline without valid papers through Phu Yen sea; issuing the decision to sanction administrative violations of  this vessel captain of 45 million and confiscating all the gasoline without valid papers and sell to contribute the state fund more than 58,5 billion dongs. This achievement of the provincial Border Guard and functional forces have been contributed significantly by the mass public.
