PPCVice Chairman Tran Huu The has presided over a meeting to discuss some issuesrelated to reviewing wind power projects which investors asked for approachingand surveying locations to measure wind in order to compile additional dossiersof electricity development planning in the province.

According to the Departmentof Planning and Investment, there are 9 investors proposing to approach, surveyand measure wind in order to compile additional dossiers of electricitydevelopment planning in Phu Yen province. 11 locations with an area of ​​about15.299ha are proposed for survey of measuring wind.

Particularly, in the communesof Xuan Phuong and Xuan Thinh (Song Cau town), Southe-ast Asia Trading Co.,Ltd. asked for approaching and surveying an area of ​​about 1.000ha and HungHai Group JSC surveyed an area of ​​750ha. In Xuan Lanh and Da Loc communes(Dong Xuan district), Thanh Do Group JSC proposed to survey and installanemometers in an area of ​​1.000ha.

At another location in XuanLanh and Da Loc communes, Vietnam Halcom JSC recommended to survey an area ofabout 1.596 ha. In Ea Bar commune (Song Hinh district), Tan An Co., Ltdsurveyed an area of ​​about 3.800ha. In communes of An Linh, An Hiep and An Tho(Tuy An district) and Son Long commune (Son Hoa district), HD Investment JSCproposed to survey an area of ​​about 5.763ha.

In Xuan Tho 1 commune (SongCau town), Duc Quoc Co., Ltd proposed to survey for investment in wind projectsin an area of ​​about 1.00ha. In communes of Xuan Hoa, Xuan Hai (Song Cautown), Da Loc (Dong Xuan district), An Dong (Tuy An district), Nam Viet HungJSC, Tasco JSC and Halcom JSC proposed to survey wind but haven’t had specificlocations.

Concluding the meeting, PPCVice Chairman Tran Huu The requested agencies, units and localities to createfavorable conditions for investors to study, survey and install anemometers;giving priority to experienced ones with financial capability. Investors areallowed to place at least 2 to 3 anemometers which must be at least 1 km apartfrom each other.

Departments and localitiesshould exclude projects in sensitive locations such as lands for defense andnear land for defense. Projects must be at least 1 km from residential areasand at least 500m from tourist areas.
