the goal of storing water at the end of this year, contractors of technical
infrastructure project of Phu Yen hi-tech agricultural zone (Hoa Quang Bac
commune, Phu Hoa district) are currently mobilizing all resources to speed up
the project to meet the requirements.

According to the Management
board of Phu Yen Hi-tech Agricultural Zone (Phu Yen MBHAZ) and the investors,
in phase 1, this project will build Lo Chai 1 irrigation system, main roads,
operation houses, waste treatment system and other technical infrastructure
items. This project has a total investment of 520 billion dongs from the
central budget, local budgets and other sources.
At present, the investor has
implemented the construction of Lo Chai reservoir with capacity of 304,000m3 of
water, canal, 12km of water supply pipeline, 3.8km of main road and 3 bridges
on the route with the cost of about 250 billion dongs. The construction unit is
the joint venture of Nam Viet Hung Investment Corporation and Vietnam Agricultural
Construction Corporation in the implementation period of 2016-2019.
According to Mr. Nguyen
Tuong Chu, Director of the Management board of Infrastructure Investment (under
Phu Yen MBHAZ), after more than 4 months of construction, the contractors have
completed public roads, clearing forest and lake bed, digging about 40.000m3 of
dam foundation and 2 dam shoulders. Roads have been stripped of organic soil,
dipped roadbed, installed longitudinal sewers, filled the ground; casting 35%
of horizontal sewer; constructing power lines, 75KV and 250KV transformer
stations... The estimated workload has reached about 20%. As planned, by the
end of 2018, Lo Chai reservoir will store water and the work will be completed
Deputy General Director of
Nam Viet Hung Investment Corporation Nguyen Van Bien, representative of the
contractors lets known it is expected that by the end of March, the company
will complete the work of digging dam foundation and spillway, finish drilling
for waterproof. From April to September, the contractors will mobilize 150 more
workers and equipment, organizing construction both day and night. From July,
they will carry out making embankment, ensuring for constructing even in the
floods in order not to take much time.
Mr. Ngo Dinh Thien, Head of
Phu Yen MBHAZ, lets known that the site clearance for project is only 80% now.
The main road is still entangled with 20 households needed to be relocated but
the resettlement area has not been invested due to lack of funds. The PPC has advocated
calling for investment in resettlement area in the form of public-private
partnership and the investors are finishing procedures. The investors expect
relative sectors and localities to actively support so that the resettlement
area will be completed soon, households have places to relocate and make room
for construction works.
