Ethnic culture village celebrates President Ho Chi Minh’s birthday

Aseries of events themed “Uncle Ho with Central Highlands, Central Highlandswith Uncle Ho” will take place at the Vietnamese Ethnic Culture-Tourism Villageon the outskirts of Hanoi from May 2-31 to celebrate the 128th birthanniversary of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19).

According to the Ministry ofCulture, Sports and Tourism, the activities also follow the theme of Tay Nguyen(Central Highlands) of Quarter 2. 

A display of photos,artifacts, literary works and articles featuring Uncle Ho with ethnicminorities will be held from May 12-31 at the Ede ethnic village. 

An exhibition “Lotus inVietnamese cultural life”, slated for May 19-20, will feature lotus in photosand lotus-made food such as tea, jam and porridge, along with musicperformances on Uncle Ho and his sentiment to Vietnamese ethniccommunities. 

During May, a number oftraditional festivals of ethnic groups will be held in the village such aswedding ceremony of Rag Lai group from the central province of Ninh Thuan, newhouse warming ceremony by Cham group from Ninh Thuan, music and dance performancesin Ede and Gia Rai villages. 

On May 27, a ceremonycelebrating the Buddha’s birth anniversary will take place at Khmer pagodacomplex in the village.
