Exhibition highlights 20-year development of central, Central Highlands regions

Howthe central and Central Highlands regions have changed over the past 20 yearsis the main focus of a photo exhibition that opened at the Da Nang Fine ArtsMuseum on July 12.

On display are nearly 100photos featuring projects that have helped improve living standards ofresidents in difficult circumstances in the regions. 

Nobuko Otsuki, chiefrepresentative of Japan’s Foundation for International Development/Relief(FIDR), which co-organised the event, said over the past two decades, herfoundation has supported development projects in central and Central Highlandsprovinces, contributing to giving a facelift to disadvantaged areas. 

Ha Thanh Van, Director ofthe Da Nang Fine Arts Museum, said FIDR has helped spur socio-economicdevelopment, improve living environment and develop craft villages of ethnicminority groups. 

Since its inception in DaNang in 1998, FIDR has implemented 22 development projects and provided reliefaids in such areas in social and livelihood development, education-training,health care and natural disaster combat, among others.

The exhibition runs untilJuly 15.
